In Japan, falling prices for scrap

Novelis opened a new plant for the processing of aluminium scrap

The company Novelis has announced the opening of Asia's largest plant for processing aluminium cans as containers. A recycling center in Yeongju (South Korea) is part of the expansion of Novelis in the amount of $400 million, which will help to increase the proportion of recycled aluminum in its rolled products up to 80% by 2020, from 35% currently.
Production capacity of 265 thousand tons and total consumption of company aluminium scrap will grow by more than 1.4 million tons By 2015, Novelis will increase capacity for recycling of aluminium to 2.1 million tonnes.

Ukraine from November does not export scrap metal, import skyrocketed
