Several plants last week was able to buy shredded scrap at the price which is $10 per ton below the previous week. Price negotiation is still ongoing, and steel company tried to achieve a more significant reduction in prices. According to Platts, the average price of us shredded scrap fell $10, to $380-385 per ton.
"The crushed scrap is reminiscent of a bubble, said one of the traders. Dealers say that prices fell by $5 and the steel manufacturers say that for $15".
