Ukraine in response Russia introduced a recycling fee on its buses and cars

The government has set maximum prices for services on the harvesting and disposal of unserviceable Russian vehicles and bodies to them. This is stated in the decree of Cabinet of Ministers No. 843.
The document stipulates that importers of Russian vehicles and car bodies are obliged independently, to provide further harvesting and recycling of waste (in particular, bodies, batteries, plastics, rubber and other products), or to conclude contracts on performance of works on preparation and utilization given by the government maximum prices for these services.
The resolution also approved the maximum prices for such services.
For vehicles with electric motors, if they are new, the price is 4,8 thousand hryvnia, if older than 3 years 29.2 per thousand.
For passenger cars the price ranges from 4.7 to 192,6 thousand UAH (depending on the age and engine size).
For vehicles designed to transport more than 10 people, cargo, special purpose vehicles and bodies with a GVW limit prices range from 19 thousand to 448,4 thousand UAH (depending on the age and engine size).
As is known, Russia has introduced since September recycling delivered to the country, including from Ukraine, wheeled vehicle.
In turn, Minister of economy Petro Poroshenko has said that Ukraine can protect national Builder, by applying a recycling fee imposed by Russia like.

In the United States scrap prices unchanged for the third consecutive week

The average price of black American H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia on 3 December were at the same level – approximately $347,50 per ton. Prices remained unchanged for the third consecutive week, according to Yieh.com.

Exports of non-ferrous scrap from the USA in January showed mixed results

As reported by Metal Bulletin, the strong global demand for aluminum and copper scrap have helped to increase the total volume of exports of non-ferrous scrap from the US in January compared to January of last year.
In General, the export of aluminium scrap made in the month 162,176 thousand tons (+11.5% versus January 2011), while sales abroad used canned containers jumped by 60.7% and amounted to 3533 t US Exports of copper and brass scrap has increased in annual terms by 16.4%, to 106,691 thousand tons Exports of lead scrap almost doubled to T. 2868, Exports of scrap of Nickel increased by 4.8% to 2594 T. meanwhile, the export zinc scrap only among non-ferrous metals was demonstrated in January, the decline year on year: its delivery to foreign customers fell by 18.7%, to 4551 t – the lowest amount since March 2010.
Compared with the results of December 2011, the exports of scrap of nonferrous metals from the United States declined in January to 9.8%. Although the export of scrap lead and Nickel rose in relation to December is 39.6% and 17.7%, but the export of scrap of aluminium, copper and zinc decreased by 12.2%, 3.7% and 44,7%, respectively.

In the first half of 2013, the Ukrainian ore mining enterprises increased production of commodity iron ore to 1.2 million tonnes

Production of commodity iron ore in January-June 2013 amounted to 40,44 million tonnes, 1.18 million tonnes, or 3% more than in the same period last year. Such information contains in the monthly study of the iron ore market held companies "ukrpromvneshekspertiza" (SEA).
In terms of types of iron ore, the main increase in absolute terms fell on production of saleable concentrate and pellets, which are made up 20.22 million tonnes and of 11.73 million tonnes respectively (+609 thousand t and +354 thousand tons in the first half of 2012). On the sintered ore had 7.25 million tonnes (+62 kt), and the sinter – 1.24 million tons (+159 thousand tons).
In the context of mining enterprises, the largest increase of production of commodity iron ore has demonstrated Poltava GOK, which increased the production of pellets at 521 thousand tonnes, or 11%.
"This significant production growth, of course, was caused by the demand for the company's products in foreign markets, but the ability to reload the equipment for enrichment and pelletizing were due to the increase in the supply of crude ore with by Ferrexpo yeristovo mining and concentrate from Stoilensky (Russia), – says Dmitry Zheltyakov, an analyst at PEO, However, to our knowledge, the capacity of the enterprise in the first half was loaded on average 96.2% of".
Also worth noting is the increase of production of commodity iron ore raw materials at the enterprises of Metinvest group, namely Central GOK (+228 thousand tons of concentrate and 7 kt of pellets), Northern GOK (+293 thousand tons of concentrate, but -175 thousand tons of pellets) and at Ingulets GOK (+75 thousand tonnes of concentrate).
Significantly increased the production of sinter ore in the Krivoy Rog IRC (+138 kt) and concentrate on the former Novokrivorozhsky MPP (+104 kt), which is a structural unit of Arcelor Mittal Kryvyi Rih.
