About it UNIAN said the former Minister of industrial policy, Valery Mazur. "What is happening today in the market of scrap metal, sabotage against the economy of Ukraine. Any country in the world only increases export, we have the opposite – he was holding back, and just when the country most needed currency. And in this area is not without corruption – export permission given only for a "thanks". For example, the export of one ton of scrap metal "costs" of $ 10. But only in 2013, our country exported 250 thousand tons of scrap. Multiplying by 10, we get 2.5 million dollars. And it is – bribes in cash. There is no revenue, not paid taxes. And lobbying for blocking exports of scrap consumers of these products – metallurgical enterprises. Lomozagotoviteli, once in the situation when the scrap cannot be exported, are forced to sell it to the metallurgical enterprises for a pittance," said Mazur.
At the same time, according to him, the Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, the Ministry of economic development, has taken no action to stop violations of Ukrainian legislation in part of the curb exports of scrap metal. "Now, in violation of all norms and laws are not meeting the special Commission for the issuance of permits for the export of scrap metal. And the artificial freezing of scrap procurement and processing exporters in this product for six months has damaged the state in the amount of about $ 200 million. But not only that, there is no revenue from this activity, become unprofitable scrap processing enterprises, namely "Ukrvtorma". Moreover, the act prohibits a scrap metal export quotas scrap. It tried to "fix" by issuing spectactulary. That is, there is a substitution of concepts. In addition, violations of WTO rules, the terms of the Association Agreement with the EU," said Mazur. He said that already appealed to higher authorities, but no action followed. "For this reason I have asked the Ministry of justice, but apparently, right now. I met with the Minister of economic development of Sherameti, but the decision is not accepted. And any braking taking the necessary effective measures will cause a huge damage to the economy of Ukraine", said Mazur.
