Prices on British briquetted scrap stainless steel 18/8 continue to grow in the Wake of the increase in LME prices for Nickel. Scrap jumped up in price to ?1010-1020 ($1623-1641) per tonne compared with last week's in ?970-980 / tonne. One of the traders said that bargain price ?1030 per ton is very difficult, but, at least, is already possible. European import prices for 18/8 stainless steel scrap also rose to €1280-1300 ($1669-1695) per tonne CIF compared with last week's €1270-1280 / tonne CIF.
