Seven new projects in the mining industry will be launched in 2014 in Kazakhstan, reports "news-Kazakhstan" with reference to the Prime Minister of the country Karim Masimov. "Thanks to the implementation of the state program of forced industrial-innovative development in the mining and metallurgical industry for the commissioning of 50 new productions. This year it is planned to launch another 7 projects," said Massimov.
He recalled that in the framework of the second five-year plan of industrial and innovation policy for the period from 2015 to 2019, the government approved a comprehensive plan for the development of the mining and metallurgical industry until 2018.
"Mining and metallurgical complex of Kazakhstan is one of the key sectors in the economy, whose share in the total structure of industrial production is 18% and employs about 300 thousand people", continued the head of the Kazakh government.
In addition, he recalled that in 2018, Astana will host the next, the 25th session of the world Mining Congress. "Kazakhstan will make all necessary efforts to host world mining Congress at the proper level", said Masimov.
