The introduction of new rolling capacity in 2013-2014 in various regions of Russia (Center, Ural, South, Volga region) will lead to increased competition between producers, between producers and traders, between traders in the regional markets. This viewpoint is shared by most participants at last week's conference of Regional trade in Russia, in Novosibirsk.
This opinion (56% of respondents) was expressed by the participants of the survey How will the new capacity for the production of metal products (Vorsino, Tyumen, Cherepovets, Balakovo, etc.) on a regional metals market in 2014?, spent on the site www.metalinfo.ru.
In addition, 22% expressed the view that it will affect the change in the composition of market participants. 17% believe that this will lead to the closure of the inefficient facilities. A number of facts confirm this trend. At the same time, it is possible that the leading producers of long products will go the way of the proportional decrease in production and supply of the domestic market.
