British briquetted scrap steel this week dropping in price due to the weakening market, according to traders. The price range for the material made ?920-950 ($1386-1431) per tonne compared to ?930-950 ($1401-1431) per tonne last week.
"Now we make purchases for July shipments and their volumes are quite small," said one of the traders. At the same time, the decline in LME prices for Nickel and a General deterioration in market conditions in Europe have led to lower prices for briquetted scrap 18/89 to €1120-1140 ($1443-1468) per tonne CIF, compared with €1130-1170 ($1455-1507) per tonne previously.
