Russian steelmakers appealed to the Ministry with the request to support the creation of a unified database of suppliers of consumables, raw materials, equipment and components for the sector. According to analysts, the initiative can be useful for the industry, but hardly a large company can provide information about their own suppliers.
The General Director of a small Moscow company "the Metal Project" (specializiruetsya on the supply of refractory materials) Alexander Blagodatskikh sent to the Minister of industry Denis Manturov letter (there is a "News"), in which he proposed to unite the suppliers of metallurgical enterprises in the unified register. To include in the list only those suppliers that pass the risk assessment. Assess the risks according to the plan blagodatskih will be a working group under the Ministry, which will include representatives of the leading metallurgical enterprises, as well as interbranch organizations United in a self-regulatory organization. Criteria for entry in the register of conscientious suppliers — determination of financial capacity of company, turnover, experience, etc.
According to blagodatskih, the creation of a single registry of suppliers of products will improve the efficiency of enterprises and reduce the risks associated with the activities of unscrupulous market participants.
— It happens that the company had won the tender, and then could not perform what he promised. Trustworthy suppliers of the industry lose. Be not the most optimal purchase, said blagodatskih "news". Companies that got into the registry, but was unable to fulfil the tender will be excluded for three years, until they prove their worth. The availability of a public register will add transparency to the relationship between companies and suppliers. It so happens that under no circumstances it is impossible to become a supplier, even if offered his services for free. The registry will allow this situation to smooth out and get rid of secrecy in some plants.
— To monitor the quality of services provided by the supplier, companies usually have no time. It often happens that the provider draws a beautiful presentation about their achievements, but in fact it be only words. Therefore, the initiative is justified, — said the analyst "Aton" Dinner Galikhanov.
Head of Department of the analysis of metallurgical and mining sector NOMOS Bank Yuri Volov also praised the initiative for the exchange of information on suppliers, mediated by the Ministry of industry and trade.
— I think such an initiative could be useful for the industry, though perhaps in some cases some companies will consider their work with a particular supplier as a trade secret, — said Oxen.
While major holding companies maintain their own registries of providers and they are closed. As told "Izvestia" the representative of Magnitogorsk metallurgical combine (MMK), the company keeps a register of suppliers, which are looking for marketing professionals. There are procedures for entering in the register — supplier must submit documents depending on the status of the company, which are sent to the security service of the enterprise. Supplier check for compliance with the requirements of economic security and, after the procedure make a decision on inclusion of the provider in the registry. The information on suppliers is available only after consultation with the commercial and other services of the company.
— It is difficult to say, as you look at the company that the supplier information will be publicly available. We may not want to share it, — said the representative of the MMK.
The Ministry of industry and trade operational review was not able to provide.
