Japanese scrap market strengthens after the recent increase of purchase prices from the Tokyo Steel. The operator of Japan's largest electric arc furnace raised the price ?500 ($6) per tonne. Thus, the supply of material for plant in Economia cost ?24500 per ton, a ton of scrap to the plant in Okayama for delivery by sea ?24000 and ?23500 for delivery to the plant land. Also ?23500 per tonne the company will pay for scrap deliveries to the factories to score Takhar and ?22500 per ton of scrap for the plant in Takamatsu.
